René Tilsley is the owner and founder of Bridges Behavior and Education Consulting. René holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and a Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). 

René has over 18 years of experience working with individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, and various forms of trauma. She has worked with ages 2 through adulthood in home, clinic, and school settings. René has over 14 years of experience working in public and private schools. Her passion is helping teachers feel confident in their ability to manage challenging behaviors and making behavior analytic strategies manageable in generalized settings.

As the mother of an adult with Autism, she has personal experience with the challenges families face throughout their children’s educational journey. Her own son’s struggles with serious behaviors at school and her reliance on both ABA providers and school professionals together has contributed to her passion for a collaborative approach.

Kim, Transition Specialist

Rene has a gift of bringing ABA techniques into the classroom setting while helping teachers understand the ‘why’ of a student’s behaviors. She is also a parent who has seen these techniques work with her own young adult as he tackles the transition to adulthood. She brings the best of both worlds for the students and teachers she helps.

Ms. Tilsley brings a wealth of experience as a behavior specialist.  During her time with our district she excelled at supporting our Counseling Enriched Programs (for students with emotional disturbance), Autism Programs, and Independent Living Skills Programs.  Additionally, Ms. Tilsley supported the implementation of PBIS at our school sites and she did this by supporting staff and students individually and by providing training on Tier I and Tier II interventions, De-escalation strategies, Developing and Implementing Behavior Intervention Plans, and so much more.  Ms. Tilsley customized her training for her target audiences which included teachers, principals, playground supervisors, instructional aides and related services staff. Her knowledge, interpersonal skills, and technical skills make her a true leader in her field.
